Photo was taken in the 1940's. My mother and I went from Milwaukee to Detroit where she picked up the car for her father. She and I then drove to St. Cloud, Minnesota where grandparents lived. She was quite dismayed when grandpa (who was a farmer) drove the car across fields and ultimately broke the rear axle by driving into a ditch.
