LOL at Ken - I only visited Bangkok on a few occasions, and vowed that would not be a method of transportation I would ever use. I had the luxury of being a visitor though - I can see how one would be easily convinced to hop on if you lived there and were faced with that horrific traffic. This is very Bangkok to me.

I've ridden bikes for nearly 30 years and when I came here I vowed I wouldnt use these guys. I use them 2 or three times a day. You cant get around Bangkok without them. Believe it or not, they are surprisingly safe. this is very Bangkok .. eating on the run and... the figure in the B/G giving a wai. KMc

I've been thinking of doing a photostory of bangkok motocycle taxis.
You know they have to pay a joining fee of between 4000 and 100,000Baht to wear the orange vest depending on the area. The Thai mafia also make 1.2billion Baht a year extorting money from these chaps,
