true. the rest on obsession was stellar. no hands - perfect.

I'd say in the conditions we climbed them it was a bit harder than Obsession. The pillar might be a little longer and you can't really weasel in the rest that was on Obsession. The ice on Obsession was a lot better too, the pillar was solid the whole way up and wasn't full of air pockets.
it was a solid lead, Nate. I wonder if it is harder or as hard as obsession in nipigon?

The ice was a little funky, but probably pretty standard for the line. The bottom half was hollow so I didn't dare try and put a screw in. Once the pillar did start sounding solid I put in a screw and it quickly hit air. So in went the second screw right after.
