Purple Orchids with Lighting

We went to the American Orchid Society to shoot. It was great since
in the green house you have diffuse light and no wind, or just a
little from the air system. I shot this image and I think it highlights
the use of Filter > Render > Lighting Effects. We were taught to do a
lot of work on our images and to especially attend to drawing the eye
of the viewer to the areas of most importance. I used three lights on
this image with the central orchid supposedly the lightest and the
secondary side orchids less so. Hopefully this draws your eye to the
area of primary focus.

Thanks for the tip -- it really does help make the orchids pop (guess what I am going to try when I get home tonight?). I agree with the last post, though, in that I might also have been tempted to burn in around the flowers to de-emphasize the background and make the flowers pop even more. Very nice work.

my eyes pop from the left to the right in a nice flow, but I also keep getting distracted by the leaves/bud/stuff in the lower right corner
