This is one of 7 orphans thay my wife and I looked afeter for a perios of 5 weeks in our condo apartment in the summer of 2004.
We had looked after another batch of 3 (mallards) prior to this.
Both batches were not more than 2-4 days old when we took them in.
The batch of 7 were found by the body of their mom next to an autoroute between Montreal and Quebec City by a passerby.
To this day, I still see one of them that has wintered over the last three years in the river where they were released!
