Blue Velvet Too * Traveller

See comment under a Bed of Blue Velvet, the previous image.

Actually, since this is the image that will get looked at most, I'll post the comment here:

"Mama, there's a man laying in the post office grass!"

And so I was...but in a suit and tie, so I hope I didn't look too odd. But it was 5pm closing, lots of people hussling in and out...but, even though I have received very nice comments under Blue on White, I was determined to give this another go.

And so there I was, even with the D60 along for the ride, switching lenses, shooting wild dandilions right and left on the Post Office front lawn. So there I was with a lot of dandilion shots, a blue Challenge getting ready to close...and these are the results.

I learned things in processing a Bed of Blue Velvet that I wished I could have used on Blue Velvet Too, since that was done first...but hey, it's all a learning process.

I think...lol

Blue and Yellow are the most striking combinations in Art Traveller... so my daughter tells me and it is true... it does catch one's eye.

I think the other issue also is the composition, this one is not so 'centred' and 'symmetrical'... it better conforms to the R of T. ... and that also attracts attention.

I am enjoying all of them though.... I do like the crispness of the second post.... I think it is a little too centred though? I'll keep lookin! ~Regards Melbob

It's the damned yellow and composition that attracts views to this image, as opposed to the first one. Sigh...this is the one that will and already is getting all the, "Views."

Since I count views as well as comments and posts...the discrete view count is weird at times. In the last Challenge, my image, The Mission 2, the girls, received 463 views whereas Scoo-bee got 188 and Panic Room only 99...though they placed one and two in Exhibition and the girls got Zero votes. And yet, somebody was looking at this image. Strange, (BTW, I'm not saying that Scoo-bee or The Panic Room were not better images, they were...but they weren't getting the looks. Strange or interesting or something).

The same is going to happen with these two images...the placement of the yellow in the lower right will pull in the eyeballs....

I'd like to cut this again with new tricks and talents learned tonight...but, unique this is and could never be re-done the same. I will have to live with it, "as is."

Best Wishes,

Traveller

Traveller, I liked the first post, but this is even better. The post office has served you well.
