Hi Barry. Sorry if my comment came across too harshly... I was not thinking "Orton" when I looked at it earlier today. But now that you mentioned it, it is clear that the effect is indeed intentional. Compliments again. jnconradie

Hi Nico -- yes, a lot more sharpness is available to me in the raw image, but I was experimenting with the Orton Effect that Michael told me about yesterday. To me it adds a degree of sentimentalism to the image; but at the same time I was torn, because I liked how much thread and stitching detail there is in the original...

Interesting how you used the light and shadows to bring out the 3D textures and make this look new and different. (It might just be my imagination, but I thought the focus would be somewhat sharper at f/14... perhaps you were intending for it to have a "soft" look?) Regards jnconradie
