Hercules

Approximately 25,000 light years away and 145 light years across, this huge globular cluster is estimated to contain between 100,000 and 1,000,000 stars.

This image shows the full field of view of the STL-11000M camera (11 million pixels) with the Pentax 125mm refractor (800mm focal length).

This is a colour-poor image. Only a few minutes in red and blue, and a software glitch left me with only one 1-minute exposure in green.
