08032007 the battle of the WORMING PILL or "Are swans tasty?"

Dad decided to take this morning off work and we lost no time in going for a long walky in the countryside. Unfortunately the retractable lead I use to keep Dad in check broke halfway through the walky, so Dad wasn't able to take as many photos as expected.

There's a story to this swan pic. You see, I have been hungry all morning. Now normally I'm well fed - can't complain about the food served up at home at all. BUT today at breakfast time... the WORMING PILL came out of the cupboard. I know the sound of the crinkly foil it comes in being unwrapped all too well and I ran away to hide! Well, then Mum sneakily tried to hide it in a small piece of cheese but I was too canny for her - I ate the cheese and spat out the WORMING PILL when I thought she wasn't looking. Yuck! Then Mum had the cheek to crush the PILL and sprinkle it all over my bowl of breakfast! Of course I refused to eat it... shame though, as apart from the PILL it smelled like a particularly tasty breakfast...
... Bit hungry now. I found this swan very interesting. Do you think a swan would make a good breakfast instead?

Hey, Poochie they're Crown Property - you'd have to ask the Queen. If you injure one it could cost Dad lats of dosh...LOL at Johnny's comment. Chris

Swan l'orange?
Swan fritters?
Honkers & Mash?

Eat 'em up, Pooch. The world is your banquet.

You might choke on the feathers. We don't want you to choke.

Swans are notoriously inept in the kitchen, I doubt it could boil an egg never mind make a good breakfast.

Oh Ev, this is WONDERFUL! Now Pooch - do u want to go to that nasty v*t again? Remember how u had to stay overnight before? Anyway, a little orange sauce and this would make a tasty substitute for a pill-laden breaky....

You little monkey, that pill stops you getting all sorts of nasty problems.
I am going to have to come and force feed you, and you wouldn't like that.

Nice pic of you and the swan Poochie, sorry to hear you had to have a pill. It is a bit hard to read your story today, I had to keep scrolling back and forth, it is too wide for my non-wide screen....
