This was shot on the full moon of March 3rd, 2007 - the eastern part of North America was treated to a lunar eclipse this night . . .no eclipse for us but a glorious moon none-the-less. That is the Mt. Shasta Board and Ski park lit up for night skiing. We were able to ski out of this area by moonlight - very beautiful. I had scoped out this spot earlier in the day. ALL the trees were covered with beautiful white snow. But "unfortunately" we had beautiful warm sunshine yesterday and the trees dumped their loads of snow. I hope to catch this same shot again someday with the trees covered. But it seems like if the mountain is clear - so are the trees!
