Well, certainly not the best image i've taken, but what a breathtaking sight! Another life goal completed - to witness the aurora borealis. We took a trip about 30km north of Tromsų, sat next a herd of reindeer with a modern version of the traditional Sami hut behind us, fire blazing inside waiting for us. Good job too as it was minus 14C with wind gusts up to about 30kph making the temperature closer to minus 35C!

So, rested the camera on my bag, set to bulb and held the shutter for 41 seconds. There's alot of movement in the shot because I did not have a tripod or remote release.

Fantastic - something I will get round to doing at some stage, I'd love to see it.
