Your reporter in the field

Bootlegger Canyon (southwest of Moab, Utah) view map

After my hike to Corona Arch I explored the railroad grade in nearby Bootlegger Canyon. The grade has been blasted out of the sandstone, forming an artificial canyon.

My assistant, Joe Tripod, was unmoved by the manipulation of the landscape.
I like that because it ensures that he remains steady for pictures like this.

Doesn't look anything like the fields around here. Nice job any, Joe Tripod.

I prefer "Here's your jewelry back. Can we forget about this misunderstanding?"

Guy in the red; step forward and say "Hand over your jewelry."

Did you notice your face getting craggy when you left here?

Dave, you look like the computer guy in the "Matrix"

Thank you for asking, Steve. Joe is loathe to show emotions in the interest of maintaining a steady posture.

Did Joe appreciate this rare moment of harmonic convergence.
