Breakfast

Abby has been putting out seed and we have been getting a diverse group of visitors. I am home today so I had a moment to get some bird shots.

I find birding very challenging even with a 200mm 2.8 lens. As always much respect to those that make this look easy.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
1/160s f/5.6 at 400.0mm iso1600 full exif

After doing a quick search on Google. I agree with Abby on the identification.

Beautiful color and feather detail. I see a bit of red on its chest between the feet--barely visible. Voted.

Hey John, I think Abby told me it is a Red bellied Woodpecker. Odd name huh, given it's striking red head. No sure of the sex.
