Winter on the Blanco River

I decided that even in winter, there is a quiet beauty here....but I will come back in the spring.

I had a wonderful time at a charity organ concert by the very talented Dr. David Morales. It was held at his home on the banks of the Blanco River. There were four hostesses, including David's lovely wife, Morita. It was a Mardi Gras party because they lived in Louisiana for thirty years. I got the baby in the King Cake. I was told it would bring me good luck for a year....that I had to have the party next year, and David even said that I would have to play the organ at next year's concert? OK, my dear New Orleans friends, are any of these true?

Yes, the party is yours but the organ playing is lagniappe. :^)
Beautiful scene Petesie. Lovely water beneath the gray stone cliffs.

The party yes, the organ playing no. It sounds like it was a fun party.

I don't know anything about the baby in the King Cake but it sure does sound like fun!

Fascinating. Glad CPL gave you the "inside" scoop.

If you get the baby in the King Cake you are bound by Mardi Gras rules to give the next King Cake party. I think he stretched it with the organ playing, but you could sing instead.
