For some of us this is a hobby. For others, myself included, I jokingly I refer to it as an obsession. And for some, the lucky ones, it is their passion. Dick is a fine photographer and shoots everything well but his true love is the wildlife of Cades Cove. He has photographed the deer there for years and has been among them so often that he knows them by name or description. He knows where a certain buck feeds or in which field a group of does can be usually found. He knows where they bed down in mid day and where to look for fawns. He approaches them with soothing tones, a claming air and with respect. They seem to trust and accept him.
