The Sword of Orion

Anza, CA

M42 the Orion Nebula, M43, NGC1977 and the area of Orion's Sword. Taken under windy conditions with gusts to 34mph. Captured in MaximDL with guiding via internal guider. The was taken using Astronomik filters, LRGB image of 30x8x7x10 exposures of 120 seconds each. Scope was a Borg 77mmED with f4 reducer, focal length 320.1mm at f4.15. Mount G-11. This was the third time taking images with this camera, second trip to a dark sky site. Overall happy with the image but I need to collect a lot more color data and also more luminance data. Images were calibrated and stacked using CCDStack and then edited in Photoshop.
