Dedicated Ice Fishermen ~ February 6

New London, Minnesota

Some ice houses are downright luxurious with all the comforts of home. But you have to be dedicated to sit over a hole in the ice with the windchills well below zero (Fahrenheit) as was the case today...

Greg, does the cold of Minnesota do something to normal people's thought process that would make them want to do this? It has been said that a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day of work, but I certainly don't think this counts.

Another red x. I will try again.

The thought of fishing by a mountain stream with warm air blowing, I can imagine, this though... YGTBSM. ;0) Kudos to the photographer for getting out and taking the shot! -BJ

How do they keep the beer from freezing? Can you fish without beer1

This has been struck by the red x attack. The cure is a .jpg at the end of the number in the address line. LOL Jeez this is going around. Anyhow Wonderful scene but I'm glad it's them and not me. I don't even like to go outside in this kind of weather.

How I remember those days when we drove the van out on
the ice, fun times. I was much more tolerant of the cold then.

Oops! Read "sight" not "site".

I remember this site well from my years in Minnesota. I thought they were nuts then and haven't changed my mind!

Or a dedicated photographer to go out and take the picture ;-)
