The Bayon

Bayon, Cambodia

The Bayon is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia. It was built in the 13th century as the state temple of king Jayavarman VII, and stands at the centre of his capital, Angkor Thom. For more pictures and illustrations of the place, please visit Mystical Cambodia. This shot was taken using a WA (wide angle) Tokina lens. I found that using a WA lens is useful if you want to take landscape shots. Tokina WA lens in particular works well with the Nikon and at a reasonable price too! You pay almost half the price for almost the same results.
