Sedona Red Rock Snow

Airport Vortex - Sedona, AZ

First chance I have had to catch some snow on the rocks since we got here January 8th. Melts fast!
PS an expensive image. Set down my glasses, my gloves, lenscap attached to the lens hood, and the a stong gust of wind blew the latter two over the edge. I rushed to see where they went and stepped on the glasses! Now out 250 to 300 to replace the very scratched lenses, if not the frame :-( BUT I next bought a cheap pair of "cheeters" half frame and found I can now look thru the view finder without taking off the glasses and still can read the fine stuff on the camera settings etc.) !!

Great image, worth all your troubles, I'd say.

Photographic art at its best. Love the amazing contrasts the snow creates in this colourful landscape.

Sorry about your mini-disaster - but what a wonderful photgraph.
I love your composition with the snow drawing you right to the tree and up into that gorgeous blue sky !

This is a beauty, Fred! I am a tree lover, too.
I should have gotten back to Sedona during the snow, but have been busy preparing for many upcoming shows.
Cheers!

Even though the snow was melting fast, there was enough there to make a great image. The tree in the centre works well for me.
sorry to hear about your glasses, yes they are expensive in the uk too, my last pair cost me £350 ($640)

Woow! v. P.S. I would be curious how the composition with the tree placed less central would look like.
