I think you can make out the tracks of the climbers, I marked it in red on the lower photo since it is not as clear in the photo as in real life.
Where the red starts I think is what is referred to has the Hog's Back running 90 degrees to the red line. I think the normal route is up the Hog's Back and up thru the rocks in a place called the Pearly Gates. The red route is an old route, which is probably easier in winter and some say is safer particularly when it is crowded. I am not a climber so I could have this mixed up.
