This is not the most wonderful image ever taken of me..... I was out with no make up on, my eyes were running with the cold, (fortunately not my nose too! ) shooting ice covered trees from the ice rain we had last night, and surprisingly enough only saw two other people out with cameras. The lady asked if I would like me to take my photo, so I accepted, and held her Nikon while she did it ;) then took one of her in return. When I looked at the images on my pc, I saw that this was image number 0001, i.e. the 20,000th image I have taken with my 20d, as the counter has now been round twice! I was going to have THIS OTHER image as my Photo of the Day, and will probably do a gallery of frozen images sometime, but the 20,000th image took precedence! As you can see behind me, the tree branches are absolutely covered in ice. Many people have lost their power due to trees being brought down by the weight of the ice. I hope it is soon restored to those people as it is much too cold to be without power.
