1Ds

Although this barn is in a certain stage of decay, the redish color of the wood is a bit too bleak to reflect the "reality". Well - here is a 1Ds characteristic: It's not bleak really it's more that it's a bit too high in the upper midtones / lower highlights. I've spent some time to create some custom curves as a remedy. In certain scenes it really gives a nice character but here I think the result suffers slightly.

Also - the sky shows the distinct "1Ds sky look" - a bit too much towards cyan IMHO.

Apart from this (which can be corrected), the 1Ds produces a superbly crisp result - the rendering of the tree in the foreground is really nice, I think.
