National archaeology museum, Rabat, Morocco, 2006

Cats freely roam the interior of this museum, just as they no doubt stalked the streets of the nearby ancient Roman city of Volubilis, the original site of these statues. I juxtapose the cat, which took an interest in my camera, with the statues to make this point.

If you are correct, Tim, then this cat dines well, at least metaphorically. It must have regarded my potential as a morsel as well, because after I made this shot, it followed me from gallery to gallery, rubbing my ankles with its head.

Headless and handless the statue stands behind an innocent looking cat - I'm not so sure that the cat isn't the metaphoric culprit here.
