What a catch! Very interesting and well done!
(Not very safe this year though...)

what a brave soul.. yeah we may have ice but it may not be good ice....Good capture of the outdoor season which is Minnesota
Pathfinder09-Jan-2007 01:38
That looks more like Minnesota I think about. The buckets are full of beer I imagine ;-)
Craig Persel09-Jan-2007 00:15
Be safe!!

Ice has been thin or water here this year. Hope he has better luck! Great shot! vote
Guest 08-Jan-2007 22:05
great shot, I would never see that around these parts. I guess the lakes FINALLY froze!
Bob Foisel08-Jan-2007 21:05
Looks thin. Nice capture.
Barb08-Jan-2007 19:46
Thinking is the ice safe. Seems as it would be rather thin yet with the weather we have had. Nice capture.
Rich Westfall08-Jan-2007 18:43
How thick is the ice, Greg. I'd think that the weather had been warm enough to make it a little thin.
J. Scott Coile08-Jan-2007 17:48
I would guess the ice is still a bit thin.
bdeane08-Jan-2007 17:26
Great colors,it sure looks cold, dreary here again...
Naomi 08-Jan-2007 15:01
I've always wanted to try ice fishing. Too warm for it here.
Katie Chew08-Jan-2007 14:43
Nice capture

I like to fish, but not like this. I have an aversion to really cold water. Good capture.
Neal Nye08-Jan-2007 13:39
Nice how the colors stand out against the white. Looks like the sun was trying to peek out.
Renee Lockett08-Jan-2007 12:40
Wonderful capture, Greg. Looks like serious work. Love how it appears to be a combination of ice and water up ahead of the driver. Must be quite a skill to know where it's safe to drive that thing on the ice! :)
Guest 08-Jan-2007 12:07
What a sport! ;-)
Guest 08-Jan-2007 11:50

Karen Leaf08-Jan-2007 04:23
I've got first dibs for the spring retrievals at the bottom of the lake-all kinds of good stuff there :)
V cool shot.
Herb 08-Jan-2007 04:04
It's like a religion :)
Bryan Ramsay08-Jan-2007 03:50
Nice lens isn't it? Great shot. It looks like the cold is starting to come you way. We were in the 70s yesterday in DC. -BJ
shatterbug08-Jan-2007 03:22
A trusting lad for sure. I get my frozen fish out of the freezer :-)
Char08-Jan-2007 03:20
Testing the ice?? LOL Excellent shot Greg. V

We were in Michigan's UP this weekend. Those brave enough to set up shanties in Escanaba and Marquette will have a job getting them out of their half submerged state. Looks like You've got enough on your side of the fence.
Brian Lehane08-Jan-2007 03:19
Ice Fishing??? Is the ice hard to catch?? Nice shot !
Wei O'Connell08-Jan-2007 03:08
Agree with Cindi. The ice seems not ready yet!
Cindi Smith08-Jan-2007 02:37
I wouldn't do that if I were him....I hear the ice isn't that thick this year. I hope he doesn't fall in!
s_barbour08-Jan-2007 02:30
Wow, you actually have ice that is thick enough to go ice fishing? We don't have any ice at all!
Guest 08-Jan-2007 02:12
I guess I will stick to the highway!
:)
