It is a " Fine Line" besteen long trails and keeping your feet happy. If you can keep your feet in good shape, you should have a great trip. Anything " Goretex" in the desert section of the PCT is a bad bet. Goretex doesn't " Breath" and feet sweat. You might as well swear " Plastic Socks" while your at it.....
