My grandfather is Mitchell Arseniu. He was stationed here 57-59. I have a photo of his barracks, the only rooma in this building with the windows completely blocked out. He wrote for security reasons on the back on the photo. His barracks was the far right 3 rooms bottom floor. The sign out in the photo in front of his barracks says 69th AAA GF US ARMY. Please email me at dmadetails@gmail.com with any insight.

I was stationed here from February 1959 for about a year. Have great memories of my time in Germany from Feb 59 until Aug 62. Went back in 2001, what a change. Are there any Grubers, Springers, or Baumann's still in the area?

WOW!! I was stationed with the 502nd from 1967 to 1970. We moved to Smiley Barracks in 1970 and became part of the 565th Engr Bn. I barely remembered that Kaserne until seeing the pictures.

My name is Jess Keopke,
I was stationed at the Rheinland Kaserne in Ettlingen in 1964. I was with the 502nd Engineer Floating Bridge company, and I am thrilled to find these pictures of the kaserne. I was transferred from the 502nd to the 55th Engineer Panel bridge company at Smiley Barracks in Karlsruhe after making SGT E5, and stayed at Smiley until I left Germany in late 1967.
