I was stationed at Rhineland from the summer of '66 with the headquarters company of the 555 Engineer Group. Sometime later in the year, the headquaters company was moved to Smiley Barracks where I remained until December of'67. The photos bring back many fond memories of good people and good times. My name is Jess Keopke,
I was stationed at the Rheinland Kaserne in Ettlingen in 1964. I was with the 502nd Engineer Floating Bridge company, and I am thrilled to find these pictures of the kaserne. I was transferred from the 502nd to the 55th Engineer Panel bridge company at Smiley Barracks in Karlsruhe after making SGT E5, and stayed at Smiley until I left Germany in late 1967.
