Your sewer. My Drinking water.
by

The mighty Mississippi.
I think all the way down to New Orleans people are doing the same - using it for their drinking water and their waste water disposal.

Very telling image. Food(or drink) for thought, indeed.

Unfortunately it's very dificult task this days to find the riwer without trash and we will pay for this some day. This is a picture with strong mesage.

Charlie I thought that looked like a globe at first glance too. As it is, it is just poor little Sponge Bob and even he can't soak up all the garbage in the river.

I keep visualizing the ball as a globe of the earth.............it goes way beyond the Mississippi.
Great choice of shots Brent. You wrecked my day. ;-)

Brent is right, all to often you look out on the Mighty Mississippi to see rubbish floating by. It all starts with the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/Saint Paul). The trash you throw out the car window ends up down the street gutters and in this river. The rivers beginnings are about 200 miles north of here. The water is clean and beautiful there. I wish there was some way to bang heads together to make them wake up!

A grim and powerful image Brent!
