I have to admit, when I saw the "front page" small version, I didn't like it at all. When I opened it and saw it at this size, I changed my mind. Nice DOF and aging on Santa's hat. What I don't care for is the "lightness" of the picture, yes, it does have some nice shadows in the beard and especially the eye area, the overall shade it about 2 notches too bright for me. I would try adjusting the histogram a few degrees darker on the left background, but have a bit more light on the right background so its all the same level. BTW, I do like the bird being OOF because of the DOF

Great color and detail (especially for a ISO400 capture) complemented by beautiful bokeh … will make for a nice Christmas card.
