I was hiking on a ridge above Rancho Mirage California, when I heard what sounded like explosions.
Looking down toward Palm Springs airport, I noticed a large smoke cloud, and counting the explosions, there were 21.
Shortly after, this plane flew overhead, which it turns out was Air Force One carrying the late President Gerald Ford to Washington for the ceremonies.
