In Memory of Former President Gerald Ford

As a newspaper reporter I covered a news conference of President Ford. He was neither cynic, arrogant or cagey. He seemed to lead the nation regardless of which political party was in control. A true gentleman, he stood when women reporters entered the room on that particular day. I shall remember him for his kindly and statesmanlike manner.

Oh I love how the Tree is the focus in this image A tree is often seen as something majestic and grand. Very nice with those flags standing in line.

From what I remember of him he was indeed a worthy President. This is a fine tribute, Coleen.

One of ours from Michigan, Mr. Ford had the job cast upon him. He was a dedicated Speaker of the House and carried that honor to the White House. While I often disagreed with his direction, I always felt his motives to be in the bestinterests of the country. A fitting tribute, Coleen.

Lovely tribute.
This man held the USA together, although never elected he restored dignity to the white house. A job few could have done after Nixon.

You created such a wonderful picture for your tribute. The tree is an effective symbol of dignity and endurance and the brightly colored flags add grandure and importance. It's a very powerful image.

A wonderful tribute, he didn't seem to be the typical politician.

An honorable man, who stood by his principles knowing the result would porbably lead to his defeat. I liked him, alot.

Pleasant memories of a fine man. Its a shame that so many will remember him for a few clumsy moments. He was a gentleman and gentle man.
