Christmas Lights Reflected

Perilloux Place - Louisiana

This evening my husband and I hosted a dinner (supper) for our oldest son's basketball team - fourteen hungry boys and two coaches. They had just won the first leg of a tournament.
We have had about 10 inches of rain today in the metro New Orleans area and Perilloux Place got its share, too, with standing water. My son drove the big school bus up the drive and I crossed my fingers that it would not get stuck.
I took lots of pictures but this is the only one that came out without a nervous hand.
My niece, Gayle, took a fabulous photo of this window a couple of years ago at Christmas time - http://www.pbase.com/gpc/image/37754142 - and tonight she gave me some Christmas cards she had made for me with that photo--they are beautiful.

Lovely warm glow to the room. 14 hungry boys, you must be a masochist.
Send them to McDonalds in future.

This is beautiful, too, Coleen! I love Gayle's window shots and the one she made your Christmas cards out of is my favorite! Congratulations to the boy's basketball team. You are a cool and brave Mom! :-)

A wonderful view into a lovely room. It's always difficult to photograph light sources, but this one is just right.
