I did the first take of this image - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/71698584 - for yesterday's PAD. I had no intention of making the two image montage that I did then. One of the two images was a "multiple exposure like" shot that was made by shaking the camera during a 1 second exposure - and that I intended to do but had no idea how the result would look. The 2nd image was one of nine that I shot for intended use in a nine-shot multiple exposure. Unfortunately, the 2nd was shot in jpeg and I wasn't careful with it since once it was smashed together with eight other images to make the multiple exposure lack of sharpness wasn't really an issue. However, when - on a whim - I put the two together I liked the result (except that now the lack of focus on the 2nd image bit me in the butt).
Today I returned to the scene of the crime to try it all over again - except this time with the intention of making a montage. And this is what I got. The reason for going through it all over again is that I'm considering using this as an entry in a juried exhibit and didn't want to give a judge any more to pick on than necessary. Images of this type tend to be "high risk" as it is without adding to the problem.
