StentGraft.

This is an image of one CT scan slice of a AAA Stent Graft.
It is used to repair an abdominal aorta aneurysm and is inserted by an endovascular procedure.
The original image is a "screen shot" of an image displayed by a DICOM viewer.
The white annotation was added to a jpg image with photo software.

This scan was performed about 8 years ago after the stent graft insertion. I've had no problems since, but in that time I was acquainted with two others who were not so lucky as I was in finding the aneurysm in time to take corrective action. Like many lucky others, my aneurysm was detected being examined for another possible problem.

The software used to view the images is not so easy to figure out without help. As it turned out, it was already built into the readily available and free IRFANVIEW.

Wow, that is really so interesting. I've never been able to tell what was going on when I look at a CT scan. It really helps to have the arrows labeling everything. I hope that the surgery went well to repair that aneurysm.http://www.nyrp.com/services-procedures/ct/
