This mammal is also in with falcons becacuse it is such an important food source for nesting raptors. If you see a colony of these sit back and watch. I can almost guarantee you will see Swainsons and Redtails. If you watch very closely you will probably also see Prairie Falcons. Prairies are exceptionally good at catching these little squirrels. The falcons spot them at a distance then come in very fast hugging the ground to avoid detection. The squirrels never see them coming.
