Bewick's Wren

This Bewick's Wren was amongst a busy flock of small birds I was trying to get photos of today at Nisqually NWR. It was a mixed flock of about 25 birds and included chickadees, bushtits, both kinglets as well as this wren. While I was trying to see the birds clearly, two people, apparently without any interest in wildlife, crunched past, scattering the birds. I see these walkers, quite often the same ones, everytime I am there.
Nothing they did was harmful to the wildlife. The birds weren't stressed, they simply moved away. The environment wasn't changed or damaged in any way by their passing. They weren't intentionally meaning to disrupt me. One couple, crunching past as I was looking in the viewfinder, even asked if I was finding anything interesting.
Probably, if I had been totally alone and undisturbed, I wouldn't have gotten any better pictures or seen anything more.??
