Thanks Bottles. Your work was fantastic. I have both Photoshop 6 and Elements 4 on my computer but need to learn how to use them. I realized after I posted that I had forgotten to resize the image. Tried to replace the image with a resized one, but had no success. I would love to use your version of the shot, but don't want to take credit for your work. So, will leave it alone.

Nice shot Ed! *I wasn't sure of exactly what was fringe and what wasn't, so I may have over done it with my try :-) I also darkened the background and lightened the birds hoping to make them stand out a little better. Finally (and especially since the guidelines ask that your image be no larger than 800 pixels on the longest side), I cropped the image top and bottom to put the birds in what I thought was a better position. Anyway, my try is in the Demo folder; as far as I'm concerned you're free to use it if you like it (not sure about the rules though).
Sandhill Cranes are awesome birds, Ed...nice that you captured a couple of them for this challenge. I like how they're bodies are positioned next to each other...one head up and the other head down. I like the old cornfield as background too. Nice shot, Ed.
I don't know how to fix fringing, Ed. Maybe someone else will help you out here.
