Yes, it is a different pace and different generations at work here. But more than simply contrasting the age and energy levels, you use rhythmic repetition here to bond them together forever. Each works on a vertically oriented exercise machine, with matching handles. The machines are linked by tiles that make up a geometric pattern and by a wall of foliage that seamlessly integrates both figures into one tapestry. It is so much more than just a "great capture" which implies that this happened by chance. I am sure you carefully constructed this image into a coherent whole, and then made many different images contrast their attitudes and feelings. This one most likely worked the best.
