It's Here!

Well, it's here! The hot new Sony Playstation 3
is here, and if you weren't one of the lucky few
to get one, well, then it ain't here. The Playstation 3
released in the States a couple of days ago is the long-awaited
dream machine gamers have been waiting six years for. The demo machine
I saw here had awesome graphics, I mean really smooth, sweet, and sexy.
That said, I ain't getting one any time soon. Although I grew up at the
dawn of the video game revolution, and was a game addict for a long time,
I barely play games any more. I just can't seem to get the fire back.
On those rare occasions that I do play, you're likely to find me playing
Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, or Mortal Kombat on my pc. Old-skool to the bone baby!
I'm too poor these days, but if I had five or six hundred dollars laying around,
I'd rather spend it on a lens or a new camera. But for those who got one of
these new Playstations, congrats, and hey, invite me over!

Me too, I'd invest in glass, rather than one of these... A couple of years back I bought $20 Namco Joystick with Pacman, Galaxian, Rally-X, DigDug, and Bosconian built-in to it. That and the C64 Joystick are my most recent gaming additions. I've also still kept my Sega Master System and Nintendo Super NES, but after those the games started getting just Eye Candy and less and less playable IMHO. +V

Loooool
Well, I'll have to agree that nothing can ever beat Packman :) Especially if played on those old arcade game machines... Oh.. dear me! How many coins have I spent there :P
How about those little boxes we would plug on the TV to play tenis with just the little slidding rectangles and a tiny squre to pose as a ball??? Man.. I would play so much, that when I would go to sleep I would see nothing but that little square even with eyes closed, eheheheh.
It seems like this was in another life, but well, I did have lots of fun anyway ;)
