The light is everything in this image, Tim. The tongues of steam rise in salute to the glowing trees. I made a similar image from a different vantage point with a longer lens, removing the trees, and featuring a blanket of translucent steam hugging the rocks in what you called a metaphor for Yellowstone. (http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/69211868 ) Your story is grand in scale, mine is intense in light. We each express the essence of this scene in different ways.
