It would be nice to have a second shot with the lid laying next to the pot; alas, the lid appears to have welded in place during
the glaze firing. We don't believe the glaze got in between, it appears the top caved in slightly allowing the rim to seize the
spigot portion of the lid. Oh well, a lovely paper weight! Fired size 5.2 inches (13.2 cm) diameter by 5.8 inches (14.7 cm) high.
July 2008: Being tired of tripping over this piece, we smacked it with a cold chisel. As somewhat suspected, the lid
was not welded by glaze, just gripped by collapse of the top and a little flaring of the spigot section of the lid.
