November 10- Veteran's Day

Shake a Veteran's hand today and tell them, "Thanks".

I guess this would be a sort of Friday SP : )

I know, Veteran's Day isn't officially until the 11th, but I'm off and enjoying it today.

First, I nearly forgot Veteran's Day was upon us,
and next you caused me to look for my discharge papers (DD form 214)
which I filed away and hadn't seen in years.

Wow that brought back some memories
I went in in January 1955 and was RA
I got out 3 months early (1958) after extending my time in the far east
I believe that my discharge papers fell apart over the years.

wow . . that was 'back in the day' when there were service numbers vice SSNs . . I think they should go back to the service number . . . too many numbers are being leaked to the internet "by mistake" from too many theoretically secure sources
