Midway Geyser Basin, Yellowstone

Looking down at the boardwalk at Grand Prismatic, in the Midway Geyser Basin. We waited almost an hour for the steam to blow sufficiently off the scene below us, so that we could photograph what we had come to see. (Cooler weather creates the wondeful steam that helps define a geyser - but if it's too cool, the geyser can remain hidden behind the vapors - too warm, and there is no steam.)

This is wonderful...how did you get high enough up to get this? This is such an amazing place and you've captured it perfectly!

The dimension of it is truly hightened by the fact that we can see the tiny people going up the path... And well I can only say that I am truly amazed by the enormity of the geyser. Wow!!
The out of this world colours are also fantastic.
Great shot. Congratulations.
