Caniglias was a major classic Italian steak house in south Omaha and was the first restaurant in Omaha to serve pizza. Newer eateries and casinos nearbye slowly eroded at Caniglias sales over the years and they finally closed in August of 2005. New town homes are being built where the restaurant used to stand.
