The hotel manager suggested I wait until the evening before I visited Pamukkale. I think the half day wait was worth it. Pamukkale is a park, and it's open 24 hours a day. The spring water is a warm 38 degrees Celcius. Much of the travertines are off limits to walking and exploring, and the part that you can walk on, you must remove your shoes and socks.
