As I walked within the old fish and tackle store, wooden doors creaking here sat a man who once knew my Father. My Father, after retiring from NASA began the business of making fishing lures by hand. He was quite a fisherman and well known evidently all over Alabama for his expertise as well as his fishing lures. From what I understand he also holds the world record for his motorized airplanes.

The gentleman you see in this picture gave me the only fishing lure that was left in the store. A gift that I shall cherish.

other than my Father's photograph the lure is all I have of him.

It's good to have memories but something tactile is always an added bonus. How good it must have felt for you to meet this guy.
