In these days of prosperity
When people think only of spending,
Even the poor believe they are rich.

"I want a clam pizza,
Full of mushrooms, mussels,
Shrimp, and oysters -
From the sea and from the earth!

"And in the middle I want a hen's egg
Cooked with a shot of Stok,
That ancestral water."

When we heard that order
It upset us greatly.
We thought . . .
Is this pizza?!!

Here we respect the rules.
We make the one true pizza,
The kind which was born here in Naples
Over a hundred years ago.

This ancient recipe is called
"Margarita",
And when done well
It is fit for a king.

So don't come here looking for
complicated pizzas -
They'll do no good
To your wallet or to your stomach.
