Happy shopper

MJS in window of old store (now a rubber stamp place), Saybrook. This store dates back to 1790. The Marquis de Lafayette, who was a key advisor to George Washington, shopped here. There is a soda fountain next door that opened in 1896.

Margaret got to visit some great stamp shops in Storrs, Rocky Hill and Saybrook CT, and also a stamp store in Latham NY. We had quite the good time finding and shopping in all these neat places. She will have inspiration for new hand-stamped cards for many years to come.

Thanks for sharing the history. I find it very interesting. Glad MJS got some good stamps too!
