Dusky Eagle Owl (Bubo coromandus)
Size : Average 56 cm. This owl is a lifer for me.
I had gone pig hunting and this bird came up
instead. It is extremely rare and thought to be
virtually extinct. The last sighting in the area
where this photo was taken was some 6 years
or more back.

Habitat : Open woodland usually near water; lowlands
