I guess this could be in the "reflections" challenge....I took a short ride with my son and his wife Saturday afternoon to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge where the whooping cranes spend the winter.
I hope to go back when the cranes arrive.

This guy was not at all bothered by our presence and as you can see below, Vernon got up close and personal. I haven't seen his photos yet. Bet they are something!
I had as much fun photographing him as I did the gator....wish I could still get in that position!
